Overview

in residence: july 29 - august 12, 2012

performance: TBA

Having seen the student’s presentations in dance, acting, movement, singing and audition techniques, I can attest to the professional quality of their training and degree of polish that is expected from them. I recommend the The Musical Theatre Lab without hesitation.”

- James Lapine, Playwright and Director

The Vineyard Arts Project summer program has the highest standards, yet maintains an intimacy that makes each student feel seen and nurtured. The individual attention students receive leads to superior growth in a relatively short time. I was tremendously impressed with the instruction and the caliber of the student performers.”

- Kaf Warman, Professor, Carnegie Mellon School of Drama

Directed by Broadway veterans Elizabeth Parkinson and Scott Wise, Musical Theatre Laboratory is a two-week musical theatre training intensive for aspiring pre-professional actors, singers and dancers. Students receive individual attention and the highest quality training necessary to propel them into a successful career in the performing arts. Musical Theatre Laboratory alumni have gone on to study acting and musical theatre at some of the nation’s top colleges and universities including:  Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan, Emerson College, New York University, Northwestern University, Boston Conservatory, Syracuse University, Western Connecticut State University, and Vassar College.
